Jefferson and Tarrant Counties Lead the License Tag Charge
By: Brooke Ulrickson

At Bar Leaders, TYLA kicked off the Justice for All License Plate contest for young lawyer affiliates. Through members of your affiliate purchasing “Justice for All” license plates, you can contribute $25 to a special account supporting legal services to the poor. First to join the charge was Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association followed by the most recent addition, Fort Worth – Tarrant County Young Lawyers. Surely, you can’t let Jefferson and Tarrant beat your affiliate, so how can you join the competition?

If your affiliate would like to join the competition, please email me at bulrickson@browndean.com. Then send at least two emails to your members promoting the contest and post the challenge on your affiliate’s website through December 31, 2010. The affiliate with the most license plate purchases will win a Flip Video Camcorder, $100 Donation to the Charity of the affiliate’s choice and in its honor and recognition in eNews, the Texas Access to Justice magazine and website and at the TYLA Annual Meeting.

I’ll post updates in each month’s eNews. Plus affiliates are encouraged to brag to one another about their success! Jefferson County has already posted this contest on Facebook and you can post your success on TYLA’s Facebook page by clicking here. A little healthy competition will be great for Justice!
